What if you just bought some really expensive item like an expensive RGH/JTAG.
And it is being shipped.
And something happens to it. For instance, the 18 wheeler falls off of a bridge and then it the cargo sinks to the bottom or the cargo gets hijacked.
What would happen?
Like would you get a refund from the post office, would you have to suck it up, etc.

unless you kick up a major fuss and hassle them for ages they will probably do nothing. Thats how it is with most companies nowadays...
