I honestly think that I'd rather go for BukkitHost.

If I do get a Minecraft server, I will be sure to go with BukkitHost. Although it may be a few months before I can get a bit of extra money to pay for a server.

Thank you very much to both of you, SPEED and -xbox360.

I have Skype. I don't like adding people on it though.
Just PM me on TTG and I'll gladly respond to you.

SPEED wrote I don't mean to attack you, so don't take this personally this is merely an observation.

Your Facebook is stacked with customers complaining about downtime and other issues. Your twitter isn't much better. There are numerous complaints about waiting days for ticket response and small issues that should take minutes to fix. This shouldn't happen.

I understand that DDoSes are largely unpreventable, but a null route is an easy fix with Multicraft if you know how to configure it correctly (and with 4000 customers, you definitely should). It shouldn't be an excuse for downtime.

GGS isn't the only company I've seen with these issues. They're common among budget hosts, which is exactly the point I'm trying to make. If you want a cheap server, where uptime and customer service are not important to you, by all means, budget hosts are the way to go. But if you're looking for a serious server with very little downtime and fast customer service, you're going to end up paying more.

It depends on what you want out of your server.

We offer 160GB/ps DDoS protection for a one-time fee of $10. These complaints you speak of are minimal of the 4000 customers and are all from customers without DDoS protection.

Matthew Robinson

To save this thread being a "my servers are better than your servers" argument, I'll chip in.

I've had servers with a large amount of hosts:

- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
- [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

- DaddyCheese (What was daddycheese at the time)

My advice to you is this:

Don't go with low-ball price hosts. Most of the time their service is not up to par with what you want to be using.
If money isn't that much of an issue.. Go with a more higher-end host such as BukkitHost or BeastNode. You get what you pay for at the end of the day.
If you know what you are doing in terms of plugins and all the standard server rubbish.. Feel free to go for a lower tier. You won't need their support if you know how to do it all yourself.

Now, for my hosting experience, I would say BukkitHost had been the best.
I had zero problems with the server. The only tickets I ever submitted were to do with my web hosting because I was new to it.
The support is just unmatched. It's professional, helpful and fast. Very few hosts can live up to what they state about their services but BukkitHost is one of them.

PytoHost is probably the worst I've had. Constant errors within their control panel (They didn't set it up properly) which led to server downtime because it couldn't establish a connection to the hardware. I was charged invoices for services I didn't actually order. The support took up to 3 days at some points. The only thing that is good is the price to be honest.

My top 3:
1. BukkitHost
2. BeastNode
3. Multiplay

Hopefully that helps you decide a little better plus gives you a range of hosts you can check out.
:satisfied:

I made a post yesterday about really good hosting you could check them out and they are great the host it really nice.

Do you want to run your own server do you want a very reliable server host? If your looking to start up your own minecraft server and tired of those big companies that give you little support or help with your server, then choose

We have a few panels hosted with OVH.

GGServers is well-established hosting service company with nearly 4000 happy customers. We plan to continue offering this same service while listening to our customers.
