Why would you want to replace the actual boot animation .xex? I really don't see the point in this, but it is a great tutorial.

FOV wrote Idk, I don't want to screw it up. Haha. You guys, just literally download the file and replace the old bootanim. Nothing else needs to be done.
I was simply asking if this is just the bootanim.xex from an older dash? Or did you take the guts from older xex and toss it into 16547 xex???

It's just the bootanim.xex, so it's not all the guts lol

bad_flash wrote Thanks for giving me credit. Also I wonder what happens if you just delete it. Would it mean a faster boot time ?
Nah dude, tried this last year.
The console will turn on but just be a black screen whilst everything loads.

I am having trouble writing the bootanim.xex to my flash. In xex menu it just refuses to do any thing if I paste the bootanim.xex. I also tried the freestyle dash file manager but it just says operation failed. And when I use a ftp client like filezilla it puts the new bootanim.xex in the flash but the file is only o kb. I already deleted the original bootanim.xex any help would be appreciated thanks.

Seems like some can download this without the decryption key which is a tad strange, I'm getting a decryption key request.
