Hey everyone,
I just find it really, really annoying how hard it is to get a job these days
I'm 16 and I've been looking for apprenticeships for about 6 months now, and it is incredibly difficult!

Yeah it is hard at times but once you get your
foot in the door and get a good job you'll be happy.
As of now depending on your age and your experience
in the work force, it's very hard to find a job.

It will be a lot harder for younger kids since they have no experience.

Exactly...
The amount of jobs I see that say "Need at least 3 years work experience"
Sorry, but how can we have work experience, if we can't get a job...

I totally agree. So instead of looking for companies to hire me, i started a Lawn Care Business.
I work lawns mostly, but I sometimes help my stepdad out with his company.

I completely agree with this. I feel like it's impossible to become employed if you're under 18. I am 16 years old and am leaving school but have no job to go to, so I will just be lying around my house all day while my friends are at school.

I have 2 years of work experience in a fast paced, cooking environment and applied for work in KFC, I was rejected in less than 5 minutes. It's a pi$$ take IMO.

I'm in the exact same position ...
But the fact is, in the UK, you have to be in further education till 18, so I can't just stay at home. And I 100% do NOT want to go to college :sarcasm: So I have to get an apprenticeship...
