Try looking for a friend or family member to point you in the right direction of your interest. I got lucky, my dad owns his own company so I am set with a job.

Its hard.

Work places demand experience but how are you supposed to obtain it if you can't get a job to get it?

I've been working since I was 14, so experience is no problem for me, but i agree. It's hard, especially in the UK

Since age I applied for 3 different jobs and got them, Butchers for 2 years, a warehouse over summer and now i've just started working at mcdonalds (7.58 an hour lucky me haha).

Just look around, honestly it isn't hard to find one.

I highly doubt that was on the news, considering it is 100% false. Once you turn 16 in the UK, you are legally an adult(although you can't drive a car or purchase cigarette's/alcohol). This means you can do what you choose with your life, whether that is staying in school, getting a job or going to college/university.

Example- I am 16 years old and live in Scotland, I have not been to school in 3 months and don't yet have a job. I also have no interest in going to college/university. It is legal to leave school at the age of 16 and you can not be forced into further/higher education. I know for a fact that it is the same in N. Ireland and in Wales. I am assuming you are in England, which may be different but I would be surprised if it was.
I'm from England and just did my research. Here you are legally classed as an adult when you hit the age of 18 and you have three options after you leave High School. One - Go to college and study either 4 A levels or a BTEC. Two - Do an apprenticeship. Three - Find work and stay doing that as long as they give you some sort of training until the age of 18.

Yeah, that's the new law, which requires you to continue school until 18. HOWEVER if you started Year 11 September last year, you can leave and not be forced into 6th form or college, etc. But if you are in year 10 and start year 11 next year you will have to go to 6th form or some sort of education.

Its not hard to find a job. Its harder as you get more specific on the type of job you want. Like getting a job as a electrician is harder than finding any job at a fast food place or construction labor.
