So my xbox is saying that my kinect is unplugged when it is plugged in. I've completely rebooted my xbox and unplugged my kinect and plugged it back in and nothing changes. Is it broken and has this happened to anyone else? Thanks

I am guessing that your Kinect is defected. I would call up Microsoft and I am sure they will send you a replacement.

One of my friends had the same issue and he sent his in and should be receiving a new one within the next few days.

I had the same issue. I completely turned my xbox off. Like unplug the power and let the xbox restart. I did that and then I no longer had the issue

I keep my Kinect unplugged all the time... Im not trying to let the government know more than they already do. HAHA
Thanks to the xbox one they know more about people than they ever thought since the release date. Its actually pretty scary. Look it up if you don't believe me. More people would unplug there Kinect if they only knew.

Definitely hit up Microsoft, that sounds like your Kinect itself is bad. I'm sure they'll replace it.
