Why would there be words invented, that weren't meant to be used? It just doesn't make any sense...

Honestly, you need to grow up if you get offended by words... If you can't except the fact that someone is portraying you in a different manner than you'd like to be portrayed as, please grow up.

SupremeThe_BOSS wrote Well being that you are REQUIRED to be at lease 13+ to just join the site, i would think it was for their sake...But thats for TTG

On the other hand, its plain out Rude.I can see when people get offended by these such words b/c its Disrespectful. Simple as that, some people were raised differently where they were allowed to swear at their parents.

Think of it this way, would you have your kids(3-8 or what ever) running around yelling "F U" to you at the store...I know i wouldn't(*Manners)

Then some people are sensitive, we are all HUMANS therefore we ALL have FEELINGS. Know i know most of you are going to say"oh that doesn't faze me" or something along the lines of that, what im trying to get at is, It gets to a certain point that you will feel some type of pain, disgustingness(being offended)no matter how "Tough" or "Gangsta" you are.

That's my opinion
I like reading analogy's like this. I personally was brought up not to swear, obviously that teaching would have warn off over the years, but I still feel like not swearing is the right thing to do. With this thread, I don't wish to promote swearing, but instead, question it's existence.

It's profanity in public that gets me. It's not that it offends me, it just sounds trashy and shouldn't be around kids. If people want to in private or in an adult setting, then go for it. I just hate when people do it in a public setting where kids could be involved. On top of that, they are just very unneeded words.

I completely agree, I hate hearing parents and their kids talking, using profanity in public. It does sound really quite disrespectful. Although, I must bring up my point once again: why do these words exist?

I disagree. I find that it relieves stress sometimes. It's a good way to vent anger without getting violent.

This logic is very flawed.

If you want to justify that saying than Kim Jung-Un could use the "Why were nuclear bombs invented if they weren't meant to be used" to wreak havoc.

As for OP: I'll use profanity in front of anyone.
If they take offense to that, it is on them. Not me.

I don't call anyone names or curse at anyone so they have no reason to get their panties in a bunch.

Offensive words start out as slang.

Once they began to be used in a certain context, people found them to be offensive.

Why do people find these words offensive now?
Through their upbringing.

If you are brought up to believe a word is offensive, you believe it and use it in such a manner.

As for the religious thing about being banned by god.
These words were not around at the time of the bible.

I do use certain words around friends and in general, but if around other members of the public or children I try not to, as it comes back to the upbringing phase, I was taught they are offensive so still believe so and dont want to offend others.

Exactly what I'm getting at, nuclear bombs were most likely invented to be used, not to just have sitting around forever...
