I'm going to build a new PC rather than upgrade my old one since I'd have to upgrade everything anyway. I've already got a fairly nice GPU (located [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] ), so I'm wondering, with a $1000 USD budget, what would be the best build for the best gaming performance, minus the GPU? Because my GTX 770 is pretty good, so I'm not looking for another GPU.
I just would like some recommendations for a build without a GPU that can max my budget at $1,000. Thanks!
(Preferrably pcpartpicker or something)

EDIT
I should probably add some more information here, so here goes. I'm looking to get the best performance for the money I'm spending. For now, I'm going to primarily use the PC for gaming. However, I'm going to college in 2016 and taking a lot of computer courses, so I'd like for my computer to be able to handle the upcoming stress from the things I might have to do on it for class, along with some great gaming.
Also, I'm located in the US. Thanks again.

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

This was rushed so I will fix it up tomorrow am kind of tired

Basically
$1000 budget

i7 or i5 is a must

16gb ram 2x8gb so future upgrade to 32GB
A motherboard which supports SLI is a must so later on you can stick another 770 GTX in if you want
SSD Also a must for faster loading
Beautiful case 350D as a example you may want to
change it depending on your needs
750w cpu for overclocking and would support a future gpu

[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - Fractal R4 but case preference is subjective
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - 1TB WD Blue
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - Seasonic S12G 550w
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - 2x4 GB HyperX Fury 1866 RAM
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - Phanteks PH-TC14PE cooler
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - Crucial M500 120 GB
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ] - i5 4670K + Gigabyte Z97X-SLI

You're better-off spending the rest on peripherals. Personally, I'd spend even less on the build.

Isn't 550W not enough for a GTX 770? The recommended minimum is about 600W

Overall looks pretty good, and I like how you built it to be upgrade-able.

For the parts he has picked a gtx 770 should be able to run on that fine you cannot fit another 1 though so if in the future you want to run sli you would have to change it
