I've spent a lot of time on my work and have done a lot of art lately.
Tools: 24" iMac | Intuos Pen & Touch Tablet (Medium) | Photoshop | Illustrator | SketchBook Pro
Let me know what you think:

Wow, if you did those from scratch (not a trace) then that's really impressive. If it is a trace or something then it's still pretty good. If I were to say one thing is holding you back I'd have to put it on shading. Some of your pieces look to have inconsistent light sources and/or the shading on the eyes makes them look like the have black eyes. After that I might try putting some more detail into the hair, it might look better and it might look worse, but all-in-all pretty good.

Even though they are traces they are still pretty good man.

Need to let your creative side out next and make some from scratch

I don't use any type of tracing tool. I just kind of eyeball it and stroke it all first. I guess this is just kind of my style. I like it because it''s really cartoony.

I don't think that people understand that some of these take me 3-4 hours. I really wish that people appreciated art more than they do. Some professional artist charge $50 per hour. I don't think that $40 is too bad for 3-4 hours.

I don't trace. I use photoshop not illustrator. I'm just more familiar with it. I recently got Illustrator though and am slowly learning my way around it. I definitely agree with your comment on inconsistent shading and hair. Thank you. Much love to other artists helping me out.
