Seems like back in the day life was so much easier. Parents tell us that they didn't have as much homework and things weren't as expensive as they are today. Taxes weren't as bad. It was easier to get into college. Seems like in our generation there is so much more pressure and work. Our whole life depends on one little task.

Stop being a girl and deal drugs

Ok! Thanks for the advice mate

You shouldn't be afraid of change. Sure we miss the past. But there's no going back. And each new invention has it's benefits. Except for the atom bomb..

RANT INCOMING!

College IS expensive, but you dont HAVE to take out student loans. Im taking Dual Credit at a community college, and im not even close to being in debt, and have almost 40 credit hours already. Its because it seems like its assume you HAVE to go to a big college, or college at all. You DONT HAVE to go to college. lets see.

4 years.
15,000 dollars in debt.
For what? A scrap of paper saying you went through the drugs *** and terrible classes?

Nah. You don't HAVE to.

As for things being less expensive, yeah, its called inflation. Not just here. Pre Nazi Germany had it BAD. You think our inflation is bad? PAH! Google that!

Taxes? Cmon. You get it back! God forbid you pay ~8 cents more for every dollar for our military, National mail..Protection..Banks..

Pressure and work?

Work is work... Cmon.

Pressure, again, define that. There are plenty of stress free jobs.

After 9/11, everything is amplified. People sue over a punch. No one can say no to their kids.

The internet and other innovations have brought a double edged sword to our society

On one side, you have the spread of information! Now you know about that disaster in a foreign country within minutes of it happening, not days.

You can learn how to drive stick, how to do things, make food, etc.

On the other hand, it has brought a veil of anonymity to crime and bullying, and a eye into peoples personal lives. Think about how much info about yourselves is out there..a LOT. Birthdays, Credit card info, etc. Scary.

Homework? If you have to add this you must have a terrible school or work ethic, or both. Homework is just an easier way to learn more in less time. If we didnt, school would be harder, longer, and more boring.

I honestly give my elders props for completing their education without google. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a straight A student but without google there would've been many assignments that I would have failed. I agree that our generation is certainly challenging, but you must also acknowledge that the older generation also had struggles that we no longer face.

The cold war, for instance. I wouldn't wanna face that! Heck, war in general.

My parents always told me that sodas from a soda machine would only cost 5 cents, Seriously ONLY 5 CENTS. Today i bought a Dr. Pepper for $1.75 from a Machine, i was hesitant to actually buy it as i could have gotten a LG at MD for $1.09. But my mom offered so i was like sure.

At my School i don't get much homework aside from reading like 1-2 chapters before the next day quiz. I swear there is like a Quiz or Benchmark like every other day. No to mention the whole "Social States" (Thank God i don't have a problem with it anymore, wasn't really much but the Popular and the wannabe "Thugs") that most teens have to face and that puts a bunch of pressure that gets in the way of school work.

Im with you here, the times do get difficult. I believe its because of the new teaching technique that the new President wants for the kids. We have to worry about EOCs,PSAT,SATs All early on, like really just let us be kids. We grow up so fast anyways, why make us into robots.

I think i remember hearing something about next year freshmen they get to choose the courses they want for what job they intend to go into. And We don't get that, out grades have to live with the old standers of the default courses from years back. They should have done that when i was still a freshman, it would have been a lot better then learning something you probably will Never use, Of course unless your job specify it.

Well at least i have just a few more years till I graduated HS, then i will be on my own...Seems like just yesterday i was playing in sand with my transformers now im just about around the corner from paying old Uncle Sam my hard earn dollars.
