I'm still on 7.1, is there any real decent benefits of updating my firmware? Or have you found that its exactly the same?
When i mean benefits, does it run faster or save battery or anything?

I just upated and re-jailbroke about 30 minutes ago. So far I have not noticed a difference really. If I were you, I'd just stay at 7.1 if nothing is causing you problems.

Is there a link to a jailbreak for iOS 7.1.1, and does jailbreaking take any space?

Jailbreaking CAN take space yes. The more stuff you download from Cydia, the more space you use.
