Just failed my driving test and need to let it out, never felt so down before nearly cried infront of my driving instructor lmao :S, I got 1 serious fault for going 27 on a 20 road, other than that he said I done a really good drive and there wasnt much he could point out. Other than that I got 6 minors, 1 for steering, 2 for use of speed, 2 for appropriate speed and 1 for something else. The 3 point turn I performed was spot on everything else fine. Its just horrible knowing that I failed on something of which if my foot was a cm up I would had passed as 23-24 in a 20 is bare-able and probably would had passed me. He said to me down the road 'its 20 down here' and at that stage I kind of new I had failed as he intervened. Half way through the test he even closed his book It was just when I got to certain roads that I missed road signs and that what he put the serious fault down for 'Road Signs'. Sorry for the grim post but I just need to tell people you know, worst things happen in life and 40% of people pass first time but you know All I need to work on now is knowing the speed and road signs as 4 of the 6 minors where to do with speed which relates to road signs, funny thing is this road was about a minute away from the test center on the way back after the independant drive, maneuver, high speed drive, etc

I believe they fail most people first time due to the fact they can get more money.. I was so annoyed when i failed my theory test first time.. then passed second. But then i made sure to pass my practical the 1st time. Of course you cant promise anything, as anything can happen on the day. Just dont worry about it when you do it next time, you know you'll be nervous, but dont let them get the better of you! Thats the only thing which will make you fail, is your nerves. Im sure you will pass next time!

they don't just fail you to get more money, they aren't allowed to do that.

I failed my theory 1st time by 1 mark then passed with flying colours the next time I took it

then passed my practical the first time but the roads I were on ive been down them loads of times!

OT: unlucky with your result pal chin up and smash it the next time!

I felt the same way when I failed my permit test haha.

Just practice no speeding and keeping your eye on the road and often look down at you speed, check mirrors all the time and look to your right or left if you're switching lanes.

I got a 95% my first time taking the test which I don't know how I did that but I did.

Just keep driving and you'll get it next time.

Luckily I passed my permit test and driver's test both the first time. Just gotta be aware of signs. If you're not sure of the area and the speed limit, just ask the instructor what's the speed limit on the road. That's what I did because I had never driven before where I had to take my road test. Don't let it get you down.

Don't feel bad, I failed my G1 written test 3 times, then I failed my g2 test twice. My sister passed both with flying colours the first time. She has been in 4 accidents and 3 speeding tickets since. Ive have 0 accidents and 0 speeding tickets...just goes to show pressure can make people make mistakes.

Just passed second time! 3 driving faults which where awareness/planning and appropriate speed, am over the moon although I felt my 1st test was the better of the two, I made some silly mistakes like changing into 1st instead of 3rd of a big roundabout by accident, I meant to go to 3rd but it went first, furthermore the route was a lot harder but atleast I passed, she was a really nice examiner compared to my first one who seemed grumpy
