Everyone is open to their own opinion, myself being ex millitary have a lot of experience with guns and I believe the UK laws are best prectice.

Here in the UK seeing as guns are banned, knife crime is absolutely atrocious, in my city Nottingham t'was once called Shottingham for the massive crime rates and they still are pretty high, still you hear someone got stabbed everyday.

Anyhow, to the topic I believe guns shouldn't be banned it's a precaution of self defense imo and also hobbies and interests, as said on Romeo Must Die, "guns don't kill people, people kill people."

That's because they're illegal in the UK.
They're harder to get, but as the quote shows, people still get them and kill with them so it doesn't work too well.

Even if you make them illegal people will still get them.
I'd rather be prepared and feel safe, than be a helpless victim.

There's a statistic somewhere that shows where something is legal in one area, there's less crime with it in that area.

Either way, there's a lot of law abiding citizens who respectfully own guns.
Don't impede on them, but on the people who are mentally unstable and can get their hands on guns...

Plus we have the right to bear arms in America. It's basically for the American people to assemble a militia if we're ever invaded foreign or domestically (meaning if our government every becomes like nazi germany we can fight back).

Without them you're helpless when you need it.
It's a shame the UK doesn't allow guns.

If guns were never created for anything people would just use other things to get what they want. Bats, knives, screwdrivers, hammers, pipes, bricks, rocks, fist, feet, sticks, cars, metal objects, pencils, and the list literally can go on forever until you name just about every single object ever created.

Guns honestly started this whole tech age. War is never going to go away, we should all know that. Everyone has thoughts that have to do with violence. Me getting pissed off at my phone when it drops calls provides me with wonderful violent thoughts. But I never have killed someone. Should I blame my carrier sprint if I go out on a rampage killing people since I dropped a call. No its my fault I decided to kill those people. So when I play video games and die in the game say COD (I hate that game) and I get so pissed I shoot up a store who's fault is it again. Not the game's fault, my fault.

It's common sense yet the new's media continue to spew incoherent thoughts to the world, and the brain washed listen and spew that. Its like the flu.

Who is this directed too? Crimes would not stop if everyone had guns, because like everything else in the world, there is always someone that wants to have the best, and I am sure they would kill to obtain the best.

It wouldn't stop all crimes, but it would make a home invader think twice before going into someone's home.

But it could decrease the extremity of a crime.

There is always a catch 22 when it comes to if no-one owned guns, or all people owned guns. I could give a plethora of reasons why life would not be the same if everyone owned guns. Humans will always compete to have or be the best. Examples? Well we have sports, competitions, etc. Who gets that better job? The one with a college degree or the one with no diploma. Of course the one with a degree, because he is "Better" than the guy with no diploma.

If no guns existed, it would be like before. Rocks, spears, sticks, swords, shields, there are weapons people would create to kill anyways. We will never be safe from violence, because humans will always find a way.
