Reason my family owns guns is protection and hunting, protection being if someone breaks into my home im protecting my family and going to shoot the invader. And to the anti-gun people why do you care what am doing with things i bought? Some people dont know how to mind there own business.

I hate it when people say something along the lines of "Guns don't kill people, people kill people".
Yes, guns kill people. What is the one, sole purpose of a gun? To damage or kill something.
What's to stop someone who has mental issues from reaching into their closet, grabbing their gun, and shooting people? However, if people don't own guns, that problem doesn't exist.
There might be the occasional person who manages to get a gun, and again, kill people with it, but as people in this thread have already mentioned, gun crime is a typically a lot lower in countries that have gun laws in place (UK, Canada, Japan, Australia, etc) compared to the US, which really doesn't.

I'm pretty sure guns cannot pull a trigger themselves. No guns I have seen have a brain or A.I installed into them. People are who pull the trigger. I must send a message to my brain, to tell my finger to pull inwards and use the trigger.

What do you use a gun for? To kill people.
Therefore, guns kill people.

You are completely missing the point. Hmm Hunting, shooting practice, scientific research?
Not everyone buys a gun to kill someone you know. Plus your argument is very invalid, I buy a gun to kill a person meaning the gun is to blame? Are you serious.... I have this rope, does it mean I am going to hang someone. but I am not to blame?

In the case of your rope example, sure, you were the one that hung the rope, but it was the rope that caused the death of the person that you were trying to kill. Without it, you wouldn't have killed the person.
Even though one may pull the trigger, it is ultimately the gun that enables a person to die, thus, guns kill people.

A gun cannot kill a person without another person enabling it to. Since you were the one who pulled the trigger, you then enabled the gun to fire a bullet, and thus kill a person. However, without it, you wouldn't have killed the person, therefore the gun was the cause of death. So, the gun killed the person.
However, you would go to jail because you enabled the gun to fire a bullet.

I love how you just contradicted yourself and repeated what I said earlier, yet you are stuck on the same motive that guns kill people. YOU SAID IT YOURSELF, the human cause the gun to fire. I can kill someone with the ammo cartridge or butt of the gun too. What difference does it make.

That is false. Look at Mexico, they have some of the strictest gun laws in the world and have one of the highest intentional murder rates in the world. Same with Honduras and Colombia. They are considered some of the most dangerous countries in the world.
