I'm on ps4 and looking forward to many games to be released in the upcoming months, uncharted, gta v, Elderscrolls online, bf hardline, fifa 15. I really think we just need the games like Elderscrolls and gta v because the games can last pretty much a year, everything out at the moment is boring and after completion there is nothing to do

Left consoles behind in 2012. Built a gaming PC at the end of last year.
I'll never go back.

Yes, I am enjoying my new console. Although there aren't many games out for the Xbox One right now, there are enough to hold a consumer over until the release of new games at the end of this year. There are shooters, sports games, and other games in the Xbox Live Marketplace.

I could sit down and write a response refuting all of your points and we could be here for days arguing, but honestly, you said it yourself:
Since low resolutions do not make a game worse, resolution doesn't matter.
Homeland wrote , low resolutions do not make a game worse, its the art style that sells the games, and the game itself

Not very thrilled with mine.
After picking up my new gaming PC this past Christmas, and buying the Xbox One for my birthday (near the end of march) I really just see no improvement in graphics or even gameplay.
Although console gamers usually aren't there for graphics (because if they were they'd be playing PC), even if you were wanting a "Next-gen" console you still wouldn't be astonished by the graphical advancements, because honestly there are no "big" advancements.
For example, COD Ghosts isn't even in 1080p on the Xbox One.
Also, if you don't already know this Ubisoft had to dim down the graphics for "Watch_Dogs" because they were told that the "Next-gen" consoles couldn't handle that.
If you have Watch_Dogs for the PC and look through the files there is a .dll file I believe called "E32012trailer" or something along those lines.
That file is for the graphics that were originally supposed to be implemented.

Anyways, those are my thoughts on the "Next-gen" console.

What I can gather from you is this, you are completely happy with these frame rates and resolutions of these ,which is fine. But you are choosing to turn a blind eye against anything better simply because you think that everything is fine. But if you look at the bigger picture, these consoles are expected to last for 5 years + and if these consoles are outdated already then it is worrying for most people and could be seen as a waste of 300-400 when you could get a PC that will outperform these at a similar price with all the benefits of PC. Technology is advancing so quickly, in a few years there may be no reason to buy one of these consoles.

I truly hate it when people say ignorant things like that. You can't make a $400 (in USD) rig that will even meet the consoles specs, let alone exceed them. $100 of that goes to buying Windows. (because NOBODY has a Windows key lying around and 90% of us don't want to pirate it) That leaves $300 to pay for: a motherboard, case, PSU, RAM (at least 8 gigs, since that's what consoles use), hard drive, a GPU that meets or exceeds the performance of the consoles, a CPU that meets or exceeds the performance of the console and shipping (because we're being practical, shipping money doesn't fall from the sky).
That's assuming the person paying for the rig already has a mouse, keyboard, monitor, speakers and other peripherals on hand, which usually isn't the case. (I know I don't have that stuff just lying around) But please, go put together a $400 rig w/ a legit copy of Windows and specs that beat a PS4 or Xbox One since it seems to be soo easy.

Homeland wrote As a PC gamer I see no reason at all to buy a next gen console. And wondering if any console gamers feel the same.I am happy with the next gen consoles i have both xbox one and ps4 also have a gaming pc. but i got them around in the same time and seriously i have put alot more hours into my pc then my consoles together. i like them both but i would rather have a pc. just my opinion. (got consoles for the exclusives they have only)
1080p 60fps has been a standard for PC gamers for many years , yet the next gen consoles are failing to achieve what should be a standard in 2014, yet they are still claiming and marketing this as "next gen" although the hardware is already outdated and not next gen at all.
People who own a next gen console are you happy with your purchase?
The price they are asking for these outdated consoles is ridiculous and would be a much wiser option to build at PC for the same price achieving 1080p 60fps and all of the benefits of PC gaming.
