Fallout 3 is better. With the companions, map size, and unlimited amounts of missions and probably the best map packs ever. It is just all around better than New Vegas even though they are both excellent games.

fallout 3 was better in my opinion, i think it had a much better story line which kept you intrigued where as the fallout new vegas story line wasn't as entertaining

New Vegas, I recently got into it, I used to love Fallout 3 so much, so much more than New Vegas, but going back onto NV with DLC is so good, Honest Hearts being the first for me and then every other besides Old World Blues as I wasn't too sound of the play-through, but the Desert theme feels so much more apocalyptic too me as the metro station infested DC just got boring after a while

Definitely Fallout New Vegas in my opinion, there is so much to do and who doesn't enjoy exterminating everyone in your path? I've played both, and they're both great games either way.

New Vegas is amazing compared to 3

Both were great games to play but i feel Fallout 3 was slightly better and i enjoyed playing it more than New Vegas, but everyone has there own opinions.

I think while Fallout NV has more customisation etc, it kinda feels just like an addon to Fallout 3, can't really pick a favourite though because they are both really good... they are very similar games and I had a similar amount of fun in both of them.

Fall out 3 had a better story in my opinion but I liked them both a lot.
