You liberals annoy me. If every staff member there was armed and was trained, that guy wouldn't have even gone there.
Maybe not, but how much more trouble would it have been if one of these armed and trained staff members had a nervous/mental breakdown and stopped caring for their own life? You could be potentially in a bad spot as well. I'm for people having guns, but this discussion isn't black and white. There are problems on both sides of the board.
Yes, But the hospital has a No carry rule where no weapons can be brought on the campus, security isn't even allowed to have a gun on the hospital campus
I know, but I was responding to the guy wanting all of them to have guns. If that no carry rule was gone and they were made to carry guns, bad things could also happen. I stated I was for people having guns just to let him know that I am not totally anti-gun. I don't want people to assume I am when I state negative things about people having guns. Should they have them in the hospital? No, but I am totally glad the doctor was carrying his. He does need to be punished unfortunately. If not, that will open the door for more people to break those laws and bad things will most likely happen at some point in the future.

This is why I'm pro gun. Not just because I like guns, because they save lives. That guy could of killed everyone in that building potentially, who cares if he broke the law, he saved a lot of lives. To bad my governor vetoed a bill allowing teachers to carry fire arms.

The whole thing about teacher's having guns is a bit iffy. I personally am all for guns and a hardcore conservative. I just don't know if a teacher could actually draw the gun and fire at a student... Takes a lot of will power and courage to end a life... You may think you can, but until it happens, you may not be able too. Another reason why it's iffy, is the fact of a student(s) taking the gun from the teacher.. With the size of teens these days, they could easily man handle a person and take the gun.

I believe what the doctor done was right, although he shouldn't have had the gun in that place (controversially), he may have saved many lives. Hopefully his punishment will be lenient.

I heard they are planning on banning guns in the US because there are teenagers walking around with guns committing suicide and killing police officers.
Like WTH, what was the Doctor doing with a gun inside a hospital, how often do you see or even hear a hospital getting robbed.
I think it was all a setup from the doctor, but the doctor had realised that i'm doing wrong and had brought a gun over to kill the gunmen who HE knew they were coming.

Or maybe he was just being prepared because of other shootings that had happen in hospitals before this incident. The city next to me had a shooter in the hospital a few months back.
