I don't like where the series is headed either, but the series isn't dying.

You can only use a certain time stamp so much, until it gets stale.

They need a futuristic setting to cater to their creativity. It allows a wider audience appeal, and the possibilities are endless.

Like this guy said, more people are discovering Call of Duty, the games are getting worse but the sales are increasing, that's all the franchise cars about.

Ehm.. the sales are not increasing [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

The only way I'll ever play CoD again is if they make updated versions of WaW and CoD4.
A bit what like Bungie are doing.

Just because you dont like it , doesnt mean others dont either. They will eventually find a good spot, and there may be bad years and may be good. But that doesnt mean the whole COD series is bad.

COD died a while ago. Black Ops I was fantastic, then MW3 was beyond disgraceful. Black Ops II was again, a great game, the Ghosts, worse than MW3, and that's saying something...

I can't wait to not get Advanced Warfare, I'm looking forward to Black Ops 3, or whatever it will be called, but COD is definitely going even further down hill than it is...

Probably because of the huge worldwide fanbase it has?

Fanbase of little 12 year old kids who buy the game because it says Call of Duty.
Also because of those "oG qUiKscPer mLg" nerds who can't play any other game in their lifetime.

The series is not dying. Online is dying(arguably). The games are becoming more geared toward average joes and "noobs" so it's more fair and easier to excel at low levels. I believe it said about 70% of the people who buy COD games never log into online. Every year they break more records than last year. I believe they will do it again with Black Ops 3 (if that is what it's called). I don't have much hope for advanced warfare being Any good, but as a COD fan since world at war, the series is close to my heart. 60 dollars for advanced warfare is nothing to me, and by all the hours I'd get out of it, I'm just gonna pre order it, because I will get my money's worth of entertainment. It's all opinion, but I'm ready for a change and can't wait for advanced warfare. Will I end up hating it in a month or two? Most likely. And then I'll wait for the next COD. But in my opinion, I DO think COD is on a huge downfall, game play wise. But that's my opinion. I hope Destiny destroys COD in sales. Because that is a great game that I'd much rather play than COD. We'll have to wait and see.
