I don't get it, I've been playing for so long and I just can't seem to get any!

My crucible level hardly ever goes up and neither does my dead orbit level

What am I doing wrong?

Everything. Turn in crucible bounties or just turn in vanguard/crucible while wearing your faction item. I got Dead Orbit to rank 3 in maybe a week. Future War Cult only took a few days because I did the nightfall strike which brought me from rank 1 to rank 3. I'm at rank 1 in New Monarchy and I'm gonna do the nightfall again later today so I can get to rank 3 in that.

Do more strikes. The Tiger Strike gives you a cryptarch engram as a reward. Along with the strikes, the Daily Story,Weekly Heroic, and Nightfall Strike have a chance to give you an engram. Easiest way is the Tiger Strikes. (Level 24, perfect for you.)

Just buy a faction item from the Vanguard and level your Vanguard up and you'll get a lot of legendary's. I'm level 4 on the Vanguard right now and I have gotten 7 legendary's total from just leveling up to level 4.

You can also level up the on Cryptarch and you might get lucky and get a legendary engram.

Cheers guys, just completed the tiger strike!

Didn't get any legendaries but I got got 4 rare engrams, 1 of which was a strange coin and another a mote of light -.-

Lol how can you 'gotten' 7 legendaries from it xD You get one legendary for every rank above 3, 3 included so you only have 2 maximum xD
