Does anybody have any ideas on how I can come around to doing my college work? Its all just piling up and getting tedious. Not motivated atall and then I end up playing games .

Work is always tedious, you just have to buckle down and do it. It's hard, but you just have to remind yourself that life won't get any easier if you don't do it.

Self-motivation is the only real way when it comes down to it, just think to yourself that games are getting you absolutely nowhere and you could be spending your time doing something productive and moving on in life, that typically worked for me (i used to be completely unmotivated but ended up doing ~6-10 hours of school related work per day come the end of this year). Remember that 'motivation' is a purely mental thing, if you get up and do something... you will just do it, don't sit there and think about it, just get up and take the first step. Anyone can sit there and think about doing work, yet it takes a complete other person to actually get up and do it, you have to challenge yourself to be that person y'know.
Even if you don't do it now, you will have to eventually put in a last minute effort anyway and produce something that you are not proud of (so the same amount of work with much less reward)

Ummm if you think playing games is more important than college work then you need to reassess you life goals.
It could be you are not enjoying your course. Maybe lock up your PC or console somewhere to eliminate temptation.
You either want to succeed in life or you don't the choice is yours though.

What I do to complete my assignments is that I would listen to music and think about the out come I have after doing it, so by doing that it makes me want to have a higher grade in the class and be successful.
Basically just think about what you can do with all the knowledge you are getting and how you have the opportunity to be there.

If you're American, and you're talking about College College (Uni in UK?), then I think the fact that you're paying out 10k+ a Year for this education would be enough to motivate you to do the work.....

The Best motivation = You're paying for your classes, if you don't do your work and have no idea what you're doing, you'll be wasting your own money! D: and who likes wasting money!
