This will be a quick rant but something I feel that just needs to be said, comment below your thoughts and your thoughts on what I said
I honestly cannot stand teenagers these days, I myself am 17, Yes I'd admit I'm caught up in the loop with social media sites and other things but I can't help but see how soft of a path we're being lead on, Kids now a days cannot have a good time without drinking or getting high or they can't have a get together and just chill without all sitting around on their phones, what happened to those times where we would bike, go chill at the park or even just had eye to eye contact conversations? Our generation honestly scares me, I see 14 year olds in my city posting pictures half naked on facebook, drinking, smoking and I'm thinking how did we even come to this? I think the problem for one starts with the parents, now a days parents are trying to be FRIENDS with their children which is wrong, I cannot stand seeing those parents that go and buy alcohol for their kids or say yeah go ahead and party get drunk! It's one thing to turn a blind eye ok but do NOT encourage it
I myself have smoked, drank but I've never done any other drug than weed. I've turned down shrooms and I know my limits, But i don't need this stuff to have phone, the only time I smoke is when I sleep out for one because I could not imagine my parents finding out, I barely drink just for the fact of I don't like consuming tons of liquids
( thought i'd add that part in so I'm not trying to sound like a saint here ) ^^^^
Overall I think our generation is failing and I think we need to fix it, People are just lazy now and need to be put in their place, I think parents NEED to be parents and we as a generation need to move forward because I think social media and other things killed us..

They were teens in the 1960s we didn't give and there are teenss in 2012 who didn't give a shit. Kids will be kids, I understand what you're saying with the whole social media pictures but I read your whole post because I already know you're going to say. It does seem I believe in a drugged up drunk society of teenagers but in reality it's no different than how it was in the 1960s I myself have never smoke nor drink but I do have plenty of friends who do they never pressured me into it honestly it's just all depends on your area and who you hang out with. Let other people do what they want they want to be stupid then let them be stupid

I get the let them do what they want and let them do them but when that happens it causes more idiots to be in society and it spreads like a virus and it just kills me

If they want to spend all their money on drink and drugs, let them. It's their life they are willing to throw away. I wouldn't worry about it really.

>Throw away
I find it funny when people use this word when they are reffering to teens using drugs. Please explain to me how, in any other way then posting it on social medias, they are throwing their lives away.

I have seen people drink themselves into having no friends, no money and no qualifications. If that isn't 'throw away' enough then I don't know what is.

The only reason it would be seen as "throwing your life away" is because you hang out with a judgmental crowd.
If I want to drink and do drugs that's my choice, if you're my friend and can't respect my decision (whether you agree with it or not) you're a shitty friend.
Unless those habits become a serious issue, let the person enjoy it.
Life is too short to live like an after school special.

There are good parents and bad parents, good teenagers and bad teenagers.
Bad always makes more noise, it doesn't mean there's more of it.
