I have a 770 and that wont hold 60fps on demanding games 1080p maxed out.

I can currently run games from like a year on max settings with 60 fps but not new games? any GPU reccomendations?

Provided you have a good enough PSU to run it and the money to afford one, the GTX 970. Most people will recommend you this if you've got the previous things I mentioned.

Provided you have a good enough PSU to run it and the money to afford one, the GTX 970. Most people will recommend you this if you've got the previous things I mentioned.

the 970 will outperform the 290.

GTX 660 will give you playable FPS on the majority of games at ultra settings, if not, high. From benchmarks that I remember, the 660Ti was hitting 80FPS average on almost every game at 1080p ultra settings. Don't upgrade to an 8350, firstly because the 8320 would be a wiser choice if you did go with AM3+, but mostly, because AM3+ is dead. If you're upgrading, get Intel. You can grab an i5-4440 and motherboard for around the same as an 8320 and decent motherboard, but the 4440 is significantly newer, and better. GPU wise, get a 970 if you can. The 290 is a great card, especially for 1080p gaming so if you can't afford a 970, a 290 will do. Keep in mine the 290 and 290x's run much hotter and louder than 970's, and they're far less efficient.
