This is what I did I took of the casing off the AV cable and I had both the AV and HDMI Plugged just set up your Headset as normal but play on the HDMI Port

Mine is set up the exact same so I have no idea why its not working for you.

If there is a switch make sure that's on HDMI.

I got the e series edition xbox, so I didn't need to buy the ac adapter. But that's what you need.

plug the red and white av cord into your tv not the adapter maybe thats why its happening if your issue has bin fixed then great and happy that you fix it if not try what i said to do
