So there are a few people wondering why players are going down so fast and when the web app will be working again.
So last night EA tweeted that the web app and companion app will be down for maintenance. However rather than the usual between a certain time, they simply said until further notice.

Why?
Of course i can't speak for EA but i'm sure i can give a pretty realistic explanation for this.
- As of recently you will have noticed the market has been pretty strange, prices have been at all time highs and there are certain players that you literally can't find on the market because of it such as TOTY Ronaldo and Messi etc. This being because the highest a player can be listed for is 15mil. Nobody wants to sell TOTY Ronaldo for 15mil when regular Ronaldo goes for over 10.
- This simply ridiculous transfer market is a direct result of coin sellers. Because it reached a stage where it was less than 8 per million, everyone was buying loads and in turn players were costing much more. (More money in the market = Inflation of player costs).
- The ONLY way to fix this is to combat coin selling at the source. To do this they have to remove the web app. No web app, no bot accounts, no coin farming: No coin sellers!
Will the web app be back?
So for those of you asking when it will come back on there are 2 plausible answers:
1. Never, or at least not in fifa 15's lifetime.
2. When EA discover a way to block bot accounts, and a more efficient banning system of coin farmers.
Personally i think its the first answer.
What this means for you, me and fifa:
- Coin Prices will sky rocket (as they already have, and as supply dwindles they will continue to rise). I estimate it will reach a stage like it once was where 100k costs around 10.
- Player prices will plummet. I don't mean a small crash i mean they will fly down TOTS style, as they have already started to do so. I personally think this is a great thing because eventually Ronaldo will not cost upwards of 8 million all the time.
- The market will settle, i assume at prices somewhere in the region of what Fifa 14 players were. (This will take a good few weeks at least.)
My thoughts:
- So no the app will not be back up soon, and players will continue to drop fast, as coins go up in price.
- Personally i would recommend selling your coins. I have about 8 million, and i am going to wait a week or 2 until coins go for 25 or so per million and sell them all then
- Also to anybody who wonders should i buy a team now or wait etc: With exception to IF's that will get upgraded, i would sell your teams and avoid expensive players for a while.
- I think this whole thing is a good thing, i said here a few weeks ago they should get rid of the web app and that will fix the problem, and thats exactly what's happening.
Well done EA you're finally doing something right. Now just give higher prizes for divisions and cheaper packs and we will be happy.

Brilliant topic, you have a thanks from me
I personally would prefer it if the web app got taken off completely, mainly because I'm on PlayStation and players prices were 2x more ridiculous (normal Ronaldo was going for 12.5M).
Do you think as the player prices gradually drop there will be a few TOTY Messi's listed on the market?

I think Ultimate team is already ruined because of coin sellers etc, and i dont think its good that players cost as much as they do, so if anything i think this will improve Ultimate team this year The only downside to it all is the loss of web app.
And i am keeping hold of my Sanchez, taking the advice i recieved on here i'm not going to panick sell, and just wait for him to be upgraded, which will hopefully be either wednesday or friday.
