It is about the amount of time he is putting in too though. 39 hours a week means he will find it hard waking up for college meaning he may end up staying in that job for the rest of his life.

If I was you, I'd be sure to apply, nothing better than getting job experience behind you all employers like to see you have a good work ethic. Plus sure going to college/uni is also good but these days most jobs are who you know and your experience, not bashing college or uni but I don't see why you wouldn't want a steady income, at your age that's a pretty decent pay rate plus you have plenty of years to work your way up the ranks to better pay.

End of the day you shouldn't put it all down to pay, if it's a job you don't enjoy I assure you that you'll hate every shift and make each and every one drag in.

In other countries that may be true but in the UK its pretty much far from it, I know those who done the whole college + uni thing and still see them every other Thursday signing for their 115 a fortnight, and then see the facebook status 2 days after payday saying their broke because they spent it all on cheap cider and shit they can't afford. im from the UK and i agree with what he says being nineteen i know people who left college with good grades and are on the dole wasting it on ale

The money isn't too bad and it will give you experience which will help you get another job in the future. However, personally I would focus on college and get a part time job around it, in comparison to a full time job and no college
