I'm also thinking of swapping the shell on my controller when I take it apart.
I did that on my xbox 360.


Did you do it yesterday mate


No I want to do it when I order a new controller. At the moment I only have the white sunset overdrive controller which can't be bought separately so I'm not risking that one.

I'm not worried about breaking it but I want to keep the warranty on it and stuff. I still have a 20 pound microsoft store gift card from when I bought my xbox.

You should try this and post results. Nail polish doesn't cost too much and you may be able to find it around the house.
