Xiggy wrote £300 is tight but I should be able to make it work. You can't get an OS in that budget. You can however look into free options including Windows 7 & 10 or Linux

And I would be able to play MC on this?

Plus how much do you have to pay for windows or Linux?

Linux distribution's are mostly free. There are more private branches that cost money, but are tailored to specific need's. Window's again not encouraging it, but you shouldn't have to pay.

Also above build is missing a PSU, but should be able to kick minecraft in High.

Cheers,

Which one would you recommend?

Gru wrote You can go to the linux website and download a free copy of it, you should be able to burn the setup onto a disk or put it on a flash drive and install the OS that way.
I am on Linux OS and you can not download and run many programs or anything that you would normally run on windows.

If you didn't already realize I'm a bit of a noob, how do you burn things on a disk?

I myself work around Ubuntu. I find it quite the efficient little OS especially for smaller less window's directed need's. You can find it at [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

All you need is a ISO burner which you can find online and depending on your computer your using now it could already burn a disk for you..

Then the best thing for you to do is borrow a buddies PC and do what I said that way and it will save you from buying a OS.
Guys correct me if I'm wrong also!
