And yes, i agree. Next gen should only be called next gen if it's not released yet.

What gets me is people who feel the need to bash consoles. Different experience if you ask me.
It's not bashing if it's true...

Which that clearly is...

Just don't see the point in buying something that outdated just because it's branded as "next gen"

People don't buy consoles for the hardware they buy them for the experience or budget reasons. PC master-racers don't seem to grasp this and point out the lacking hardware in almost any thread I see about consoles (bash).

Nobody argues that PCs don't perform better. I buy something "outdated" because I have fun playing with my friends, it's cheaper, and I prefer using a controller versus a mouse and keyboard. You don't need the latest and greatest to have fun.

Why? It's better then a console in every way possible.

Not everyone is a die hard gamer. Consoles are so much more casual. I have both a gaming PC and an Xbox One. I prefer using a controller over a mouse and keyboard. All my friends play on the Xbox.

NASA is troleing you, but he has a point that PC hardware is objectively better because it performs better with a lower cost and is much more flexible because it runs a real OS.

Even better than the one he posted: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

It's faster, but that doesn't mean you have to like it more. You do you.

You can use a controller with a keyboard. Also there a tons of casual games on PC such as Magicka, The Binding of Issac, and Garry's mod.

Personally, I'm still calling the Xbox One and PS4 'Next Gen' because I'm still using the Xbox 360. I had the One, and referred to it as 'Next Gen' to friends that hadn't upgraded, but I went back to the 360 until I can afford the PS4.

It'll be 'Next Gen' for me, until I get the PS4.

I believe that it's only still referred to as 'next-gen' because it is the best way to differentiate it from the 360 and the PS3. I'm personally not bothered by it. If somebody calls it next-gen, I immediately know what they are talking about.

They can call it Previous-gen or old-gen. It's really not that hard to come up with a name like next-gen.

Not every way possible a lot of the people in the PC community are strange. I have a budget PC and I rarely play games on it console just suits me better especially since most of my friends play xbox all I have to do is invite them to a party chat and into the game and we're ready to play. Pc is the same but I don't have many people that play it also my favourite games like Cod and fifa don't have high player counts on PC. PC is good it has great graphics and cheaper games but community members always talk like nerds just not the type of people I usually like to play a game with. Everyone has different preferences.
