I personally believe that if couples plan on continuing their relationship long distance, then they should expect one night stands with other people. Anybody who thinks otherwise are simply ignorant. Of course it's possible to have a relationship without affairs, but it will usually lead to a break-up. Active sexual lives are important, and if it's with some random person, why should it matter? You wanted a relationship with the person you chose. If you're long distance, a little fun/pleasure on the side should be fine as long as there are no feeling shared.

Reptrain wrote I think its weird when people date on Xbox or PSN.

Like Girl Gamers and Guy Gamers will be dating but living 5000 Miles away from eachother.

I remember this one guy who would threaten a girl by saying he would hack her or DDoS her, and they would be boyfriend and girlfriend. Then a week later they break up, then the guy skims through her friends list and keeps repeating the cycle. What really bothers me that he does DDoS them for a bit, or DDoS some random guy that's trying to cheat with the girl. Also, he would be serious and send messages that he didn't want to live anymore and put some pre and post relationship stuff on his bio.

I'm in one right now so obviously I think they are fine. We Facetime whenever we're not working or at school every weekend we're up until 4AM. At this point I'm almost certain every things is fine because we actually met through mutual friends. Our schools set up a systen with schools in the UK, US and Canada similar to a pin pal project and there was at the time roughly ten of us and we met that way so I'm sure there's no shenanigans

I feel like I should add that I think they are fine if one person is in Canada and the other is in the US but when you start something over seas I think that is stretching it. Although you may love each other too much can go wrong.

I had a gf where I had to catch three trains to see her. lasted around 6 months until it was too much hassle. At first there was Phone calls and Skype every day then it slowly reduced to like only calls and texts and towards the end we Skyped like once a week. there is such a thing as too much distance as its hard to know how the other person is feeling unless you really do have the time to constantly ring them. Didn't end on a bad note we both just said this is to far to go any further and We just parted ways. no fights, nothing.

Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

Isn't the point of dating to spend time with someone that you love and you know... be affectionate and stuff and actually be together?

I don't see how someone can like someone that they never met. Its beyond me.

I tried long distance one time in maybe 2010, but it's a load of horse shit.
Only real life face-to-face relationships are worth having.

Depends on how long the distance is from each other. If it is different states it seems pointless to try to even be in that kind of relationship. Plus not to mention the catfish and untrustworthy people.
