Email and job site take long and you normally would apply for 10/20 jobs and might get a call from 1 or 2..
but the best method is..
Knock on doors is the best way!
"basically go down to the place you are applying for and make your self seem keen and really want the job"
e.g walk into tesco and ask for the manager and tell/ask about getting a job. (and Bring a CV)
+If you haven't got you qualification yet then just put the Predicted ones on your CV's

You will absolutely get better results in person.

What is the job?
How old are you?
How long do you want to do the job?
Do you have previous work experience?

On thing I noticed is employers know that most kids coming in are just looking for a summer job, therefor quitting in August or September. One big thing that will help you out is say you are looking for a part time job, not a summer job. This means that the max amount of hours you will work is 20 hours a week, but you can do it after school.

Previous work experience is also big. Just because you want to be a cashier at Walmart doesn't mean you leave out that fact that you dug ditches or picked berrys. You list all the jobs you had so that they see this guy is a team player. Also under the job wright a caption of why you are no longer with them so they don't think you got fired or quit. Here is an example of my work history:

Mad dawg paintball (Helped Dale close up shop)
TCOT (I was just hired to help them open up shop)
Red's (I was just hired to help them open up shop)
Budget tank removal (I can't do any heavy equipment operating so my jobs from them is far and few between.

After you have written you list, you include private jobs you have done. If it was a big job that I did, I will ask if they would wright be a letter of recommendation. Right now I have over 20 letters so if I include those to an employer, they will see I am a hard working team player and might want me to work for them.

It means no, son. Spamming mail isn't helping in the job search. Also, most of the time if you see the ad, it's already too late. You have to be aware of the job offer before it goes public.

Finally, you didn't give any details about you or the job it's pretty complicated to help you. How many mails and within what timeframe?

You also want to secure your spot around february-march if it's a 'huge' 'good' summer job. April at last.

I have only emailed them once, however it was not a job offer, I was simply inquiring about vacancies

What is the job? Indoor karting track (Marshall/Race director) In simple terms just ensuring peoples safety equipment is on and directing them to where they need to be.
How old are you? 16
How long do you want to do the job? Well, I was unsure if 30 days is bad?
Do you have previous work experience?

I don't know how it works in my area but in my area at 16 you cannot be a safety instructor any where.

30 days is nothing. It almost isn't even worth going for a job if all you want to work is a month. An employer will turn you down if you just want to be there 30 days.

The easiest answer is to phone them instead of emailing. And if they dont get back to you, then their not interested. But dont be afraid to keep on asking, that shows them that your interested in the job and thats a plus.
