Okay so, before i get into this rant i have no idea how long this is going to be so here is your warning!
Basically, in the UK there seems to be an abundance of racists but the severity of it depends on where in the UK you are, for example down in the south west where i live it is a predominantly white culture, but further up the country you travel, the more and more the culture is mixed.
Recently with the stories of police brutality in the states, everyone has taken to social media to voice their opinions and this has showed me just how ignorant some people are, the reason i say ignorant is because i believe some people are not racist, they just haven't been brought up around other cultures and don't know that what they are saying could be offensive to a person of another ethnicity. But then again that also depends on the upbringing their parents have given them because I was taught to respect EVERYONE, i am by no means religious, far from it in fact, but you shouldn't have to be religious to have these lessons taught to you.
It's 2015, the fact that we, as humans, can't see that everybody has a right to be treated equally and respect that is truly disheartening AND to all the people on my Facebook, Twitter and whatever other media platforms i'm using, if you continue to spread your ignorance enough so that i can see it, enjoy being blocccc'd
Peace.

Interesting. For one i 100% agree that racism is one of the lowest thing anyone can do/say to hurt someone. But at the same time, as you will know your self since you stay in the UK. That immigration is becoming a problem. A major problem.. That much of a problem that the name muhammed is in the top 3 names in Britain. In London there Far right muslim groups ganging up.. More and more are joining them. They dont like anything to do with Britain, they rob all out benefits, they despise our soldiers or anything to do with anything else apart from there religion. I personally think something need to be done before this gets out of hand. What are your thoughts on this situation?

To be fair, we do see that everyone has the right to be treated equally, hence why you were upset enough to make this post.
In the past racism was common place and actually expected.
We're making progress.
We think that there hasn't been any because of all these videos we're seeing , but that's only because of how easily accessible camera phones and youtube is.
Imagine if we had the technology and know-how that we do now back in the 50's.

Immigration is a tough subject, I believe that if a person is willing to come into the country and contribute to society in a good way they are more than welcome to come here and live, as for the other 'far left' Muslim groups in the UK i would be more inclined to say that if they aren't going to contribute, they aren't welcome. but the flip side to that is that some newspapers in the UK radicalize so many things, like the Daily Mail for example, they constantly print 'Anti - Islamic' headlines and some people in the UK actually listen and believe the things they publish, this doesn't help especially after terrorism attacks such as 9/11 and 7/7, they are helping a country that is partially islamophobic justify their actions towards people of those ethnic groups, i would also add that it is a minority of Muslims that are doing what you stated above...

You're right, western culture is making progress, but for now i believe there are still too many people who aren't educated enough on the subject, i can't remember being educated in school about anything like this at all, and that is where i think the problem is at the minute, some of the people saying these ignorant things are still in school, we should be teaching kids from primary school onwards about equality and really hammering the message across but that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment, sadly.

Well thats true, its the same when you get further up north in Scotland and Northern Ireland. In Northern Ireland there are split villages with one side Protestant ome side catholic (witch you probably already know". Even got to a point where they made paramilitary groups such as the Protestant - UVF ( Ulster Volunteer Force) and the catholic IRA (Irish Republican Army). Plenty of people have died due to the fact that there only protestant or cathlioc.. Loads of innocent civilians pay the price of one of the paramilitary mistakes. I personally think there is no place for this crap in Britain. Suppost to be one of the most knowing countries in the world and this is how we are representing our self

You know, I used to never care about what skin color you are, you are what you are. Now I've become really racist just based on what I see.
If I (a white male) gets in a fight with a black guy, I will get charged with a hate crime, yet there is no hate crime if he fights with me. Why is that? That's just on the legal aspect of things, and sometimes they press those charges, but on to high horizons.
If a black man thinks he is getting under paid, he can claim racism and sue the company. A white man can't.
While we are on the labor topic, one thing I notice, and have personally seen is that if a black guy thinks he is getting underpaid, he will still go to work, but will take breaks when ever he wants and for how ever long he wants and claim he is underpaid and over worked.
When white people protest, we generally make up some signs and show the media how pissed we are. How do black people protest? They break windows and destroy local businesses.
Oh, that reminds me. They through around the "N" word (I say the "N" word because I don't want to get in trouble on the forums or I would say the word") around like yesterdays new paper. Now if I the white guy say that same word, in the same context (yo wutup mah "N" word) I am now a racist.
One thing that REALLY pisses me off is that in high school you would see these Mexicans wearing shirts with the Mexican flag on it, and when I wore my hat with the confederate flag I had to take it off or I would get suspended. I got suspended for 3 days. What was his reasoning? That flag is offensive to blacks. I told him "yeah, and that Mexican flag Andre (a kid sitting in the office, perfect timing) is wearing is offensive to me). I would then go on to explain to him how the flag I am wearing was a part of history and I am proud of my history, but not necessarily everything they did. I then went on to say if he likes that flag so much he would go to that country. My suspension went from 3 days to 7 days. I then dropped out of that school because that was not the only issue I had with them, and went to an online school.
Please understand that when I say "the black guy", it's not just towards blacks. It's toward really any race, blacks, Mexicans, Asians, etc. Yes, not all black, Mexican, Asian, etc. are like this, but they are the ones you hear about. And yes, some whites are like this too.
EDIT: Sorry, forgot to add this in. Again, I wasn't racist to start out, but when you are surrounded by people like this and these are the only black, Mexican, Asian, etc. people you know, you get a jaded opinion about the whole race.
