I wouldn't recommend downloading Windows 10 from anywhere. I downloaded it from the Microsoft website and had a lot of problems. So I reset my PC and went out and bought the disk for Windows 10 and it has worked perfect ever since. But it may have just been my PC.

You can always join the Windows Insider Program and get the OS for free as long as you stay on the latest preview update.
Alternatively, You could use a free OS like Linux. I personally recommend using Ubuntu if you are a beginner.

The Windows insider Preview is closed for Windows 10, So that would a negative, Unless theres a backway into it?

I signed up a brand new account about 2 weeks ago for my brothers computer. It downloaded the latest and says it is verified.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that to get to Windows 10 you have to already have a OS installed and then upgrade to WinX. But, you can get WinX even if you have a pirated OS. MS just really wants everyone to update and get everyone on board.
But, as other users have already said, WindowsX still has quite a bit of issues and it better in my opinion just to wait until they have fixed a majority of those.
