You will just have to get a quote on your chosen car and add it towards the cost of the car then, you have your answer.

UK doesn't have a "ghetto"

A solid percentage of the UK is a ghetto 1234((

It's not called a "ghetto" over here though. It's closer to being called a shit hole.

DasBesteOderNichts can you please just stop arguing and telling shit, you don't know how bad the UK can be yet you assume it isn't as bad as America because Merica

The fact that you're from the UK and just typed "Merica" makes me want to die.

I do know how bad it can be and for sure is not bad in comparison to the US.

Depends on where you are from in the US. If you are out here in hick town like me, everything is fine, but you go to places like Compton, watch your back. It all depends on what area you want to look at.

so if I run into compton and get people mad I can then say I got straight outta compton?

OP, in all seriousness it costs a fair bit in the UK, more than the US by a long way.

For the older shaped 2003-05 Corsa's you could find the car for maybe £1200 or so depending on where your going. If it's MOT'd and TAX'd it should be fine.

Insurance for one of the older models is actually more expensive than the newer Corsa's. I'd expect maybe £900-£1000 or a bit more.

MOTs are relatively inexpensive, I got to a place where it does my MOT for £35, and if it passes it's MOT then it's fine. If it doesn't and it's a big expensive problem, then that could be costly.

I believe TAX for the older models is about £110 or so a year I'd double check that though.

Hope this helps

On a brand new 1.4L Limited edition corsa for a 18 year old, living in a small town, with no NCD and no driving experience my insurance was 1,300.

Im sure on a 1.0L brand new one it would be <1,000.

On an old one then you're looking at between 1,300 - 2,000.

Through estimates on my old fiesta (which was too expensive to bother with).

That was just insurance...

To buy you're looking at £1,000.

Run is hard to tell... I have a friend with a 1.2 02 Corsa spending up to £100 a month on petrol alone.

Spent rest on a new stereo
