Many people have been through the it and lived their hell in deadly prisons . Of course , some have even had death sentences . I think that they shouldn't do a death sentence unless they're sure of the person is gulity or not

When you say false accusations do you mean the judge getting it wrong or what because that dosent make sense as you then said "I think that they shouldn't do a death sentence unless they're sure of the person is gulity or not".

I agree 100% with 60oz on this, killing someone for killing someone solves nothing.. do you think executions are free? They cost money too, and not to mention there is always the possibility of a wrong case. There is always the chance that the judge gave a sentence to someone who REALLY did not deserve it. Killing them would be the biggest f*ck up imaginable. Im not going to get mushy here but people need time to think about what they did. Maybe not let them out into the world quickly but prison time can really change people.. ALSO if they really really deserved the sentence rotting in a cell for the rest of their life is way worse than taking the easy way out ie lethal injection or what have you.

Thats my point you mentioned theres a chance the judge could get it wrong thats why i said under the circumstances everyones given a fair trial also what is the point of giving someone time to think about what they done when there never getting out. I agree with you that prison is hell but id rather live than die wouldn't you.

I don't think there is a way to answer this question without appealing to emotion, which makes it a completely subjective answer based on how you feel towards other people and criminals.

Personally, I think that every person deserves to die with hope.
If this criminal is a Christian, they could simply be put to death without having had the time to come to terms with what they did and forgive themselves. They would die thinking that they were about to burn in Hell for eternity.

Now you might find that completely justified and maybe even satisfying, but I think the world needs more compassion in it wherever it can be found, rather than just saying 'Good riddance' and executing them.

We have to prevent things like this from happening, those people are sick! We can't kill them off.

I think the death penalty should be illegal. You can't kill prisoners and call yourself a "civilized society." Also, too many innocent people are killed because of it (which any is too many to be honest.) The death penalty is also more expensive. There is no reason to have it other than revenge, and that shouldn't be what the law is for. You take away the person's freedom. Lock them up and throw away the key. The only time it should be considered is if the person wants it, as I am for anyone choosing to die when they want.

Heck, I wish they would put all the criminals who commit major crimes on an island and let them have a free for all killing and doing whatever to each other.

I'm not even gonna tackle the capital punishment debate that's going on in the thread, I just have one thing to contribute them I'm back to watching this unfold.

Just think about it, is capital punishment not the merciful thing to do?

Would you really rather site in a shitty prison for life than take a quick and painless exit? Maybe that's just me, but I'm not gonna sit in a box and be treated like a less-than person for life.

And I don't know how well versed you are in terms of how prisons actually work, but the whole mistreatment of inmates by both inmates and C.O.s thing is very selective. People in there are still people. Individuals who abuse/kill children are monsters, and even the people who made mistakes in their lives (inmates) share that opinion. And the monster isn't gonna be treated well in prison. Nobody is a fan of people who do things to children. And as wrong as it is, that's almost a satisfying thought. That monsters get what they deserve in prison.

Them being stuck in a prison for the rest of there life is them suffering, just imagine a person going into prison for raping a child, you think there going to have a nice time in prison? That person will get beaten up everyday and probably get killed

Him being given the death bed is just a Easyier way for him

People like that should suffer like no other

I have heard people to commit knife crimes, they don't necessarily have a mental illness but they don't show any remorse, which shows they don't care. There are too many things to consider when deciding a prison sentence.

The death sentence is silly, i mean c'mon man we've all watched prison break, look what happens to link.. but nah seriously i'm 50/50 on it, i mean its so easy to get wrong

I completely agree, why keep them in there and have fun with friends if they made people suffer

now my dad is in jail and i still agree that what he did was wrong...

Now if it was an accident like an accidental fire then thats a different story...
