Biebs wrote The Xeon is not worth the £110 premium over a 6600 if you're only gaming. Enthoo Pro M is fine, I'd just get that tbh. Just get the 850W PSU. It's better to have SLI support, just in case IMO. You could come in to a good bit of money sometime soon and feel like adding a 2nd GPU. If you really don't care about SLI support, a 550W unit would be fine.

If you really want the Define S, you can get an external optical drive anyway.
Can you explain why you would chose the 6600 over the xeon? How is it not worth £110 premium?
Sorry for questions its just I like to know thing's like this.

Xeon isn't really aimed for gaming. There will be a little performance gain if you grab the Xeon over the 6600. No the Xeon is not bad but it's not worth the premium and you'd be better off with the 6600.
What about the 6600k? Isn't this better? What about a I7?

If you're looking to overclock. An i7 will be put over your budget and if you're going for gaming GPU>CPU

I will not be over clocking as I don't have much knowledge of it.

Then a 6600 non "k" version will be your best bet.

If you can afford to go over
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

You have a locked CPU on a Z170 board.

No overclocking. Z170 boards are meant for overclocking so you can save some money and get a different board.

The Z board is fine. It will allow him to add a 2nd 980ti if he wants. H boards dont have that.

But he can save some money.

OP Do you plan on adding another 980ti?

Well give OP the options... Just give him a SLI proof build and a cheaper, no SLI one...
