Yeah, that's not great. 980Ti is a huge waste at 1080p, just grab a 970. I wouldn't have gone with a 1080p monitor with your budget though. It's a shame that the monitor has already been purchased, can you return it?

You can easily 4k in the future on a 970, just not as well as a 980ti.

It's not really a terrible rig, but I'd just get a 970 instead of the 980Ti. You have SLI support anyway, so you could add a 2nd 970 in the future for close to 980Ti performance. I'd look at getting a 1440p panel. Definitely don't get that cooler though. Get a bigger AIO or a nice air cooler. 120/140mm AIOs don't perform very good for their price usually. As for Windows, don't pay retail price for it. Buy a key from G2A or the r/microsoftsoftwareswap subreddit, if you must pay for OS. I'd just get it the free way though.

Getting your OS the free way is perfectly fine, but if you're not comfortable with it, you can buy a key from G2A for about $30 or so, I think. Or you could get a key from [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] for about $20.
