One these builds, the reason why they are so cheap is because the rest of the system isn't that great quality. This includes the powersupply. Now, Powersupplys are complex pieces of kit which you do not want to cheap out on. If built poorly, they wont comply with any decent quality assurance which means if they blow when you put too much power through them, easily done if you add a new GPU, then it has the possibility to take out some other hardware. Im not sure why, im not a PSU expert but there is your warning anyhow

It's a little over budget, but it's the cheapest good quality PSU on PCPP, and a fairly decent entry level GPU. You could get an R9 380 for £150, but whatever GPU you get, you will need a new PSU, regardless of how "smooth" and "fast" you say it runs.

For a £150 budget, the best GPU you'll get is one of the cheapest GTX 960's - Without upgrading your PSU.
I haven't looked at comparable AMD cards in that price range as of yet.

Honestly, I'd suggest building a whole system yourself if you can. Unless you've already purchased that, then a 550W+ PSU is recommended for a GTX 970 (Edit: If you were to plan on purchasing one later in the future, not now. Save money by not wasting it now.)
So maybe look into working towards them. Plan ahead but get something to satisfy your needs.

Sanctorum's suggestion will probably be your best bet until you have a higher budget.

Everything should be compatible connection wise, as long as you get a new PSU, but your case may not be big enough depending on what GPU you get.

It might, it might not. That is the uncertainty you get when buying a prebuilt I'm afraid.

The case will be perfectly fine. It's not like it's one of those janky ass, weird form factor, mass produced Dell things. The case should definitely be replaced, but it doesn't have to be right now.
