Hello TTG members! I am fairly new to this site and so I don't know many of you guys on here lol. However, I was and still am extremely curious about the way other people spend their time. First of all, I want to say that I'm a pretty busy person with several different friend groups. Before I had any of these friends when I first moved to the town I am currently situated in, all I would concentrate on is my passion (which is music). After I found these friends, I started to drift from music slightly; I lost some of my willpower to practice it everyday like I used to. However, as of recently within the past few months, I've been overly consumed with music and working in general. I make no time for my friends anymore, and if I do make time for them, it's not much time. I would call the past several months of my life a real grind. So I'm sort of in a pinch - I'm not sure if what I'm doing is the right thing...For anyone who's had success with their passion on this forum (whether it be gaming or whatever your dream is), do you spend time with friends OR do you devote your time towards your "dream"? Sometimes I feel like spending time with my friends is just a waste of time because that time that I'm using with them can be used to make money and/or work on my music goals. This might be a weird question for some, but I just want to hear what some of you have to say! Thanks!

Music can stay with you forever, Some friends can't.

You can pursue your passion wit your friends, so no friends are not a waste. Work together and make things happen, not hard.

To be honest I'm weird with my friends because I'm the type of person who never texts first, I think if I'm needed I will be texted which isn't often tbh. I wouldnt say friends are a waste of time though it's just difficult to make time for them if you're always doing other things. You'll need friends in your life so you don't feel lonely and start developing mental problems and you should have a feeling of reassurance to know you'll always have someone by your side. That's just my view on it I'm sure other people could see it completely differently though

If video games is your passion and you want to idk make a youtube channel and a clan that plays competitive battlefield, then you can have you and your friends do that. You can bring your friends along with you and start a channel with them.

If music is your passion and you want to start a punk band, you can either find people who are already into punk music and could potentially be interested in starting a band and befriending them or take your current friends who have similar music interest and if they are open minded enough you can talk them into starting a band.

If photography is your passion, either find people who are interested in photography and befriend them and work together to start idk a photo blog. Or you could take your current friends and have them model for you and post photos onto a blog or whatever you wanna do.

Those are strictly examples but you get the idea.

You have made a great point. I guess I need to involve my friends more into my music career somehow some way lol.

this is a question you ask yourself, do you enjoy music more than being with your friends

I don't have many friends, in fact I only have maybe 1 or 2. In school I had a decent group of friends, but when I left school no one stayed in contact with each other. I stayed in contact with those who could help me and whom I' could help. Past that, the rest were just a waste of time to be honest. I know my time is my time, I don't have to worry about Scotty wanting to hang out after work, or Jimmy wanting to go to the range, etc. I do what I want to do when I want to do it and if my mom says it's OK.

Do you have any driving passions or inhibitions that make you feel this way or do you only feel this way because you feel like you should just do whatever you want in your own time?
