Txq wrote Are energy drinks really as bad as people say they are? I personally enjoy the taste of them, and have drank 4 (1 Litre) in 2 days - 72mg caffeine each. I read online that an average coffee is 150-300mg? But can never trust online sources.
They are not as bad as people think they are. Obviously, to much of anything can harm you. However, if you're a generally healthy individual and are not at risk for diseases such as diabetes, you'll be fine.
Most of the ingredents in energy drinks are naturally found in the body anyway. B Vitiams, Taurine, ect. Most of these naturally occurring ingredients supposedly "boost energy levels" although there is no real scientific proof that these significantly boost energy. ( B Vitamns could be argued. )
tl;dr Drink in moderation, stay healthy, and you'll never have a problem. I'd be worried about dental issues more than anything.
Those "5 hour energy shots" are much worse in caffeine than most, if not all mainstream energy drinks.
@OP Orignal Green Monster for me.
