Funny how the whole country said the same about Ronald Reagan. How he was the biggest mistake ever and turned out to be the greatest president the country ever had.

Lavish wroteThespian wrote What exactly do we believe that is bullshit? Explain to me what's so bad about him compared to Hillary. Your in UK assuming so you don't know as much as we do.
He's against net neutrality, wants to put Snowden to death, wants to bring back torture (even going as far as saying that he wants to do it even if we know it doesn't work), wants to deliberately kill civilians, he thinks that climate change is a hoax, he said that he wants to weaken the first amendment, and wants to bring back section 215 of the patriot act.
And that's not even including his worse-than-Bush economic policies.
Wog wrote America cannot regret it's decisions.
Since when? Dissent is the entire point of the first amendment.
I have no views on net neutrality so I could care less about it. I can absolutely see where he wants to put Snowden to death. He betrayed our country and trust, he has every right to think that. Only time I recall him talking about torture is when he said something along the lines of, "We cant be the weaker one in the fight of ISIS. We have to do the same thing there doing to us back." Which makes sense does it not? He didnt say he was gonna walk around town and torture people on the daily. I dont ever recall him saying he wants to kill innocent people. If your talking about when he said we need to kill the families of ISIS members then its only to fight back which is wrong, yes, but I doubt they are going to let him do it as it is a War Crime. Im sure he meant it more as of a threat than actually saying he was going to kill them. The climate change thing is stupid I agree. He only said he wants to weaken freedom of press because they shouldnt be allowed to say whatever the hell they want and get it wrong -
"And I think we should go to a system where if they do something wrong I'm a big believer, tremendous believer in freedom of the press. Nobody believes it stronger than me. But if they make terrible, terrible mistakes, and those mistakes are made on purpose to injure people then yes, I think you should have the ability to sue them.""
The patriot act I actually have no idea what that is. Never heard of it or learned it in school yet so, tried researching it and couldnt find anything.

This is why I created the Post originally, I wanted to see everyone's thoughts on the outcome.
Especially if that means everyone getting at each others throats and nitpicking at both candidates.
No matter the outcome of the election, we must give the guy a chance. Just like we did with Bama.
I love the community.

Considering Trump asked Russia to find Hillary's missing emails he is the last person to be condemning the release of potentially national security related information.

He said that he wants to torture "even if it doesn't work."
And no. Doing what ISIS does really doesn't make sense considering ISIS are terrorists. Torturing them isn't going to make other members see the error of their ways. It's going to make them hate the US even more and radicalize even more Islamists.

You admit that it's a war crime but your assumption that he only meant it as a threat is baseless. When someone says "we have to take out their families" you have to take them at their word otherwise you are just ducking under what you want them to mean.
You think this was just a threat while torturing even if it doesn't work was a genuine policy position? Why is the line drawn there?

Did you Google it? You can find the entire act online.

Considering that is down to personal opinion the only real metric we can use to determine who the best president has been is by average approval rating.
Kennedy, Eisenhower, Roosevelt, Bush [G.H.W], Clinton and Johnson all had higher average approval ratings than Reagan.
Political scholar Walter Dean Burnham wrote that it is extremely difficult to label a president as great or not great because of their "dichotomous or shizoid profiles" as a result of the way the system is set up.

I was rooting for him, but he lost me already when he announced who would be leading up the EPA transition.
edit: to clarify, when I say I was rooting for him, I mean that I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt and cheer him on because the country is at stake, but the EPA announcement only confirmed my worries about him.
What else do you expect a Republican candidate to do? Appoint someone like Jill Stein?
Ted Cruz would have done something similar, Marco Rubio would have done something similar, all the GOP candidates would. This appointment isn't Trump exclusive. All would appoint climate change deniers.

Ronald Reagan funded terrorists. He quite literally created Al Qaeda.
He armed the Mujahideen because they were fighting the Soviets, so he figured "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". How did that turn out?

You'll care when you're being forced to pay more just to unlock certain websites like Facebook and Netflix.
Thespian wrote I can absolutely see where he wants to put Snowden to death. He betrayed our country and trust, he has every right to think that.
Snowden is a whistleblower. He exposed illegal actions the government was taken. It was only proven that he was a whistleblower when the courts ruled that what the NSA was doing was illegal.

So it just didn't happen because you don't recall it?

So you're saying that Donald has just been bullshitting his supporters since he's not going to intentionally kill civilians?

lol. It is literally impossible to try to search for something about the Patriot Act and not find something. It's the most egregious piece of legislation this country has enacted in the last 100 years. Civil liberties were completely trampled.
