I've got an £800 Budget. Would that be enough for gaming? I'm really not sure what to get. Could someone please help.

Instead of getting i5-6600k, I was thinking of getting this Intel Core i7 Quad-Core i7-6700 3.4GHz Processor CPU. Would that be a good decision?

Well, the i7-6700 will cost £85 more than the i5-6500, and the 6700k is only another £25 over the 6700, so if you're going to spend more for an i7, just get a 6700k. It's totally unnecessary though, and will barely benefit you in gaming.

If you can spend extra get the 6700k, it will make full use of that motherboard. But if you're only gaming then 6 cores wouldn't really be necessary, if that's the case, save £60, get the 6600k and spend the money most importantly on a CPU cooler. Then spend any extra money on more RAM would be my suggestion. Wait to see what 13 thinks about this idea, he knows way more than I do.
EDIT : Just read 13's full post, I suggested exactly what he did... oops.
I'd still suggest buying an extra 8 gb of RAM when you get the chance, but that shouldn't be a priority.

The i7-6700k does not have 6 cores. It's £85 more than a 6600k, not £60.
OP- If you're buying an i7, buy the 6700k. It's not necessary though, the i5-6500 would be absolutely fine and within your budget. If you buy a 6600k or 6700k, you will need to buy a CPU cooler as they don't come with one. The i5-6500 will come with a stock cooler though.

Its not just for gaming. I create films as a hobby so will need it for rendering them too as well as gaming

An i5 is still plenty fine for occasional rendering.
