Keeping this brief, why do people get their knots tied when someone says "Happy Holidays" instead of "Merry Christmas". In the US we have the freedom to say either or. In my area in particular we have a higher I guess population of Jewish folk so I mean idk whos celebrating what and ALSO saying "Happy Holidays" doesnt exclude Christmas... I dont say it to be PC, it just sounds nicer to me and it doesnt seclude the rest of the population. I myself dont even celebrate Christmas, its just another day for me so WHY do I have to say "Merry Christmas"? Looking at it now I live in a pretty well diverse area so I mean not everyone here celebrates Christmas.
The same people who get torn up over people saying "Happy Holidays" seem to be the same ones that are confused over someone not wanting to be called their birth sex. Not to open that can of worms but seriously who cares, its words.

Personally I don't get mad whoever says Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas. I think it's respectful to say that to people shows that you care. That's what I think anyways. In the UK if you said to me for an example "Happy Holidays" - I would think you're saying that because it's a Holiday? It's all different between USA and UK - Different meanings on words are different over in the UK. I do celebrate Christmas but yes I do agree with you here "It's another day of the week" yes! When up grow up as you know for yourself Christmas is like "eh" That's how I feel about Xmas anyways.

Personally, I say happy Christmas. Christmas is more of a social celebration now as opposed to a religious one, very few people who celebrate Christmas actually attend church/mass regularly and they see it more of a chance to spend time with extended family and both give and receive presents.
There's over two billion Christians and only roughly fifteen million Jews in the world, the Christmas holidays are there for Christians to celebrate Christmas, they're not just random holidays. We use the Gregorian calendar which was created by a Catholic pope who obviously celebrated Christmas, so if you're going to use that calendar then you should acknowledge that the majority of other people using that calendar celebrate Christmas.
I'm an atheist and I still celebrate Christmas with my family, irrelevant if you don't believe in God or not, there's no disadvantage in eating with your family and giving gifts. Personally, I've never even met a Jew or someone that doesn't celebrate Christmas in my entire life that I'm aware of. That's largely because my culture is different from yours I'd imagine.
For the record, I'll call someone their preferred pronoun if they make it clear that they belong to that gender. I don't agree with being transgender because it's absolutely crazy in my opinion but it doesn't effect me in anyway so I'll do whatever keeps them happy.

You hit the nail on the head. Special right wing snowflakes that require their safe spaces.
I mean these people are so fragile that they actually forced a billboard talking about celebrating an atheist Christmas by staying home instead of going home be taken down within 24 hours of going up.
And don't even get me started on the myth that is the "War on Christmas" lol

I also don't care what you say, or why you say it. I have an issue with why people were essentially forced to say it. Many years ago (in America), we said "Merry Christmas". It didn't matter where you go, you said "Merry Christmas". Then people who didn't celebrate Christmas got offended and started suing corporations for having their greeters / employees say "Merry Christmas".
I say "Merry Christmas", you say "Happy Quanza". At 11:59 AM I say "Good morning", you say "Good afternoon". I just have an issue with people getting offended and changing a tradition. Grow up and say it how you want to say it, don't worry about how I say it.

Ok, BUT........ Halloween is a holiday, so why does the phrase "happy holidays" only include Christmas (or what ever you celebrate) and new years? Why not Thanksgiving? Ooooh, here's a good one. What about Easter? Easter is a primarily Christian holiday (like Christmas) celebrating Christ's resurrection. Why is it vastly OK to say "happy Easter" beings that it's a Christian holiday celebrated by most, Christian or not, yet people get flustered over saying "Merry Christmas" because it's Christian and opposes with their views?
EDIT:
Now I should get offended at the phrase "happy holidays". Honestly, we have things like Columbus day, so why not just rename Dec. 25th to Jesus day, or Christ's day?
