Was wondering, since im sending money out of the country (California to New Zealand), would there be a set delay? Or is there a way to send money almost instantly (once again out of the country)? I am fine with a 1-3 day wait but that would be my limit. Thanks to anyone that can help!

Also, would Google Wallet be a better alternative for sending out of the country? And would it be faster?

It really depends on the location.
Pending transactions can take quite awhile.
I never sent $ to New Zealand but I've sent $ to UK and it can take up to 48 hours

So do you by any chance know how much it would take out if i were to send $500? I heard it was like .50% of whatever i sent but im not sure if thats correct?

That I don't know.
I would do simple math to see how much you'd be spending.
Or contact Paypal via email.

The transfer should be almost instant with PayPal.
I've never used Google wallet so I can't comment on that.
If you're sending $500 there's a guarantee who ever you're sending the money too, their PayPal will be temporarily locked because it just looks fishy to PayPal.
They will then have to unlock their account by proving to PayPal they are who they say they are.
Proof of photo ID, proof of address etc.

I had my account locked once because I kept getting payments from people so PayPal locked me out and I had to provide a photo ID and my address. Bs and was a waste of time but it's understandable.

So how would they show that? Do they get an email from paypal and they have to send in simple pictures they could take on their phone or? And how long would it take before it would get unlocked after they have provided proof?

Why not just send the "500 $" in somewhat small amounts to prevent the "account lock"?

Yea you email PayPal a picture of your ID it takes about a full business day to clear.
You can also call PayPal but I'm not sure how that will go because I figure you will still have to email the ID anyways.
If they ask why they received such a large sum of cash just have your friend say you're an old friend who owed some money, if you don't want to say what its actually for.

If you are both verified PayPal users it should be instantly transferred

Although there will be currency fees and fees that may be take for use of PayPal. No matter what you do there will be some type of fee

Send money using moneygrams bro...

My mother sends money to her father In Bosnia, we are located in the US. Arrives instantly and all he has to do is confirm his identity at a local bank; I believe.
