But srsly, yes, alloys in most cases increase the premium as it is classed as a car modification. You are best of checking with the insurer first though.

Wasn't roasting him, was just inserting a cheeky comment. No offence intended to OP

only got a corsa for cheap insurance

If you have a blackbox insurance and your box has not yet been fitted then more than likely they will request that you have the alloys removed before the vehicle can be fitted with the blackbox and they have a right to cancel your insurance. If the blackbox has been fitted already and you are looking to fit alloys, speak to your insurance. If your insurance aren't aware then yes they wont know, but should the unthinkable happen and you are involved in an RTC then your insurance have a right not to pay out should either yourself or another member of the public claim off of your insurance.

By law any modification whether it be Wheel trims, Speakers, stereos can void your insurance if your insurance company is unaware.

Do this at your own risk.

Simple answer.. ask the insurer.. no one is going to give you an 100% accurate answer as the insurance companies can be different

If your don't tell the insurance company then the answer is no.

I take it this is for the UK
