I have been addicted to video games multiple times in my life.
I am currently addicted to ark survival evolved. The main reason is that it is such a rewarding yet challenging game. You also can't be logged off for too long or else you lose major progress. It's ridiculous. It is consuming my life, and that I don't want happening.

I haven't been 'addicted' as such for a long time, but I purchased Injustice 2 on Friday and I haven't stopped playing it. Safe to say I'm addicted
I keep saying to myself 'one more game' and it turns out to be about 23098234 more games

My oldest brother is one of those people who is addicted to Game of War. He has spent tens of thousands of dollars on that game, it's completely unhealthy.

He's proud of it as well. He always explains how there are a lot of those arabic people who are rich from the oil market who play on the server his account is on. Games like Game of War prey on people like him. It's a legitimate problem, the company is literally exploiting users with a legitimate issue.

Your brother is suspendible to them. They don't care about the effects the game has on his life. There only purpose is to keep him hooked on the game for as long as possible and to be consistently dumping money into the game. I wonder how your brother will end up in the far future as a result of this game.

He emptied his savings, and now spends all the money he (normally) would have saved monthly on the game. Last time we talked he said he cut back, now only spending 1,000-1,500$ a month. I try my best not to judge lol.
