Both beautiful cars, I know more about the R8 then the I8 but I can't say I have really heard negative reviews on either. It's just people who don't like the idea of electric cars who throw a fit without actually knowing anything. I think my personal preference on looks would have to go to the R8, the futuristic look on the I8 I like but it isn't quite my style.

I would have to go with the Audi R8, That thing is sexy af.

From a guy who doesn't care much if at all about cars, pretty much all BMW's look the same excluding the i3 and i8. I think the R8 as well as the GTR have replaced the Lamborghini Gallardo in that it's the first vehicle the Youtubers get to flex their money on so the cool factor really isn't there anymore, I see them around a lot. The i8 however looks nice and has decent performance specs. Granted it's no Tesla P100D, however I think if it were between the R8 and i8 my vote goes to the i8 even though I'm not a big BMW fan.
