I'd join in a primarily non-combat role. Like a medic, technical support, intelligence analyst and so on.
If it was during the time of a war in which I was absolutely certain that I would be doing the right thing by joining a combat role then I would.
Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, I have asthma so joining the military isn't really an option for me even if I wanted to.

I've thought about joining a division of the Armed Forces but I really like the field of study I'm in. If I ever decide to join, I'd join the Air Force; I have friends who are in the Air Force and they've told me good things.
They've also told me that Basic Training is a pain in the ass but it's worth it in the end. I don't know, let's see where life takes me.

I doubt I could due to a bit of scoliosis. I thought about it at one point though, before I knew about my back. I just couldn't do it though. I don't have the right mentality for it. I just don't see myself doing well with taking those type of orders, being yelled at, and just not a fan of the idea of the government doing whatever they want with me. If there comes a time where we are attacked here at home, I'll be more open to get involved where I can. I can't until something like that.

Im with you bro, dont really agree with any kind of violence, I understand sometimes its necessary, helping others though for me would be far more rewarding.

I support our troops, however I would not be one to join the US military. To join the US military means you agree with US government because that's who you're fighting for. I don't agree with US government, nor do I think it's right that our troops die for pretty much minimum wage.

I plan on going into the marines or the army with my best friend. It'll be a few years but I plan on it. Depending on the circumstances in the future though, it could change my mind. Depending on what war the US decided to get in would make up my mind. I don't want to go in a war for other nations. It's sad that the US goes into wars that it isn't even their battle. Which in that case, I wouldn't. If I knew that it was our war to fight I'd join.
