the other day my Facebook account got hacked.. so i made a new facebook yesterday and went to sign into it and got this message:
please upload a piece of id like a birth certificate and a photo of you..
i didnt upload any information it wanted because i dont trust it.
has anyone had this happen before?
also how do i fix this?
is it a scam?

never been hacked. dont see whats wrong with uploading a pic of your self tho.

and it says they wont unlock my account till i sent both..

Can you use your license as an ID? Or is it solely asking for your birth certificate?
I'm sure that these are methods used by Facebook to avoid fake accounts of someone from being made. It's a hassle but everything to avoid catfishes.

Well you can from the Facebook help page, do some research.
I don't need to do research. I know that a birth certificate shouldn't be used as identity. It even says it on the birth certificate.
