Can you use your license as an ID? Or is it solely asking for your birth certificate?

I'm sure that these are methods used by Facebook to avoid fake accounts of someone from being made. It's a hassle but everything to avoid catfishes.

I don't need to do research. I know that a birth certificate shouldn't be used as identity. It even says it on the birth certificate.
