According to Radar Online, Detroit Pistons forward Blake Griffin has been ordered to pay $258,000 a month in child support, the result of a paternity case in Los Angeles Superior Court.

The celebrity gossip blog, which claims to have obtained court documents, reports that Griffin, who played the first 7 years with the Los Angeles Clippers, and his ex-fiancee, former USC basketball player Brynn Cameron, broke up a year ago. The couple have two children, Ford, 5, and Finn, 2.

The court documents, according to Radar Online, say that Cameron claims that Griffin kicked her and the children out of his house last year. Since then, Griffin and Cameron, who said Griffin called off their engagement right after beginning to date socialite Kendall Jenner, were engaged in paternity and civil cases.

Griffin said, according to the documents, that he is paying for a five-bedroom home in Manhattan Beach in southern California for Cameron and the children.

The court declared that Griffin's annual income totals to $35 million.

The 6-foot-9 power forward is scheduled to make $31.8 million next season from the Pistons, according to Basketball-Reference.com.

A sum of $258,000 per month would come out to $3.096 million a year.

The couple have joint legal and physical custody of the children. They must mutually agree on school and related expenses, but Griffin must pay for extracurricular activities.

As crazy as this sounds, this isn't that bad. Not only does he deserve it, as he needs to pay child support, this isn't that much money to him. 3 million dollars out of the 30m+ he makes is nothing.

Yes, that's true. $3 million might not be much to him, but what child needs $258k a month? We all know where that money is going.

Yeah unfortunately I think that's an insane monthly amount to pay. While it is nothing to him, there should be a way where 200k out of the 250k a month he pays is automatically locked away into an account solely for the child and its education or whatever, and even that leaves over so much for her it's insane.

That's insane. I mean, yeah he makes a lot as it is, but now is ex is going to be rich asf because everyone knows that money won't go JUST towards the child alone.

Can you imagine getting paid monthly what vastly wealthy people make in a year?

She should be plenty fine off of 258k/year but getting that every month is a little insane. I wonder how Blake Griffin feels about it, if he's even hurting from it.

It really isn't that much for someone who earns that much, but I wonder how much will be actually spent on the child

How is paying someone $3M a year not a lot of money regardless of how much you make? I'm sure he would love to keep that $3M

Child Support is there to help a single parent care for the child... You dont need 3 million a year to take care of a child. Im willing to bet she will be using some of that money for other things
